We are so very excited to bring you an amazing line of paints that are perfect for just about any project! Today we are introducing Pop of Color Paints so you’ll have a better idea about our fabulous products and how to use them.
Pop of Color Paints is the sister company to our flagship, Counter Culture DIY. If you are already part of our CCDIY community then you know how passionate we are about offering high-quality products and amazing customer service. If you are new to our family, we want to offer you a big welcome and tell you how excited we are that you’re here!
We have 42 unique colors of matte finish, chalk-based paint, for you to check out and we can’t wait to hear what you think. Our paints can be used for so many different projects and we are having a blast trying them all out. We are also enjoying seeing all the things that the artists in our community are creating! Introducing Pop of Color Paints
We know that when you are an artist, the quality of your mediums is so important to your craft. It is also important to know what you’re working with. We have created this fabulous line of paints with our artists in mind and know you’re going to love it! Today we are answering some of the questions that artists have been asking about our paints so that you can get just as excited to use them as we are!
What kind of paint is it?
Our own Morgan Strait did this amazing chair using Ocean Deep, Black, and Pure White!
Pop of Colors Paints is chalk-based paints with a matte finish. They are highly pigmented so that your finished pieces will be vibrant and beautiful. They also offer superior coverage, a little bit goes a long way! You will usually only need one or two coats to get the coverage you need.
There are 42 unique and fabulous colors for you to choose from. We even have NEON colors which is a rarity in the paint market. With neon growing so much in popularity, we knew we had to have them for you! Each color gives you a smooth application and finish which makes it very user-friendly. And, the drying time is super quick! Which means you’ll be moving on to other projects much more quickly!
You can snag our paints in either 4oz or quart sizes. The coverage of our paints is fabulous so the paint will last you longer. That means you can grab more colors to try. Good luck picking your favorites though, we can’t seem to settle on which ones we love most.
What projects can it be used for?
The possibilities are nearly endless here! Just about any surface you can think of can be adorned or refinished by Pop of Color Paints. Surfaces like glass, wood, canvas, vinyl, fabric are some of our favorites. And it’s fabulous for all of tumbler makers in our community too! You can use it as a base coat for your tumblers or to paint your designs on your cups.

Artist Jessica Kozenko used Light Turquoise with Jade and dry brushed then on the top and bottom of this gorgeous piece!
There are just as many application techniques you can use as there are surfaces to cover. And each one will give you a different look! We will be sharing tutorials to teach you different techniques soon so be sure to stay tuned!
One of the things that our paints are most used for is furniture. We have already seen some beautiful pieces. If you are a furniture painter you will love using our paints! Fantastic coverage and beautiful colors will help your projects look their best!
And, you can use top coats to finish your projects, like waxes and polyurethanes. Just make sure your paint is dry and you’re ready to go! Many artists are also using our paints to give their pieces that rustic look that is so widely loved.
