Hard Cast is Counter Culture DIY’s clear deep-pour epoxy for thick, rigid castings. Use it when your project needs more depth, structure, and hardness than a standard casting resin.
The 2:1 formula is designed for pours approximately 1.5 to 2 inches deep per layer. It is an excellent choice for dice, pen blanks, business-card holders, decorative bowls, thick molds, embedded objects, floral castings, and functional resin art.

What Comes in the Kit?
The 1.5-gallon Hard Cast kit includes:
• 1 gallon of Part A
• 1/2 gallon of Part B
The two components are proportioned for a 2:1 mixing ratio by volume.
How to Use Hard Cast
1. Plan your project and determine how much resin your mold requires.
2. Measure two parts of Part A to one part of Part B by volume.
3. Mix slowly and thoroughly, scraping the sides and bottom of the mixing container.
4. Pour in layers approximately 1.5 to 2 inches deep. Mold dimensions, room temperature, total resin volume, colorants, and inclusions can affect the appropriate pour depth.
5. Allow the casting to cure undisturbed. Follow the product-label instructions before demolding, sanding, or polishing.
Hard Cast vs. Culture Cast
Choose Hard Cast when you need a slower deep-pour formula for thicker castings and a hard, rigid finished piece. It is the better choice for dice, pen blanks, bowls, thick molds, and floral pieces requiring pours up to approximately 1.5 to 2 inches.
Choose Culture Cast for wedding bouquets, memorial flowers, and other flower-preservation projects poured around 1 inch per layer when faster project turnaround is preferred.
