I started Counter Culture DIY about ten years ago in my garage with one goal: to help creators turn their ideas into art. Back then, I was experimenting with epoxy and trying to make it easier for makers to get professional results without the frustration. That drive led to the invention of several products that changed the game, including our Fast Set Epoxy, which cuts cure time from days to hours, and Quick Coat, a problem-solving layer that fixes just about anything. Today, our team is still guided by that same hands-on, maker-first spirit; creating products that make art easier, faster, and more fun.

I started at Counter Culture DIY after my uncle Barry called one day and asked, “Hey, are you busy tomorrow?” I said, “For what?” and he said, “To pack orders; I’m really busy and need help.” I didn’t even realize he had a business! What began as a one-day favor turned into a full-time passion. Today, I’m the General Manager, though I do a lot of different things for CCDIY, from helping customers to keeping production running smoothly. Watching this company grow from a garage startup into a creative community has been an incredible experience, and I’m proud to be part of the story.

I started at Counter Culture DIY in 2020 when my best friend Mindi asked if I could help with social media posts. Back then, my main job was sending out goodie packages to artists, and while I’m not an artist myself, I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the creative community around CCDIY. I’m constantly inspired by the amazing art our creators make! These days, I wear a lot of hats, from running all our social media and adding new products to the site, to helping with product development and planning sales. I love being part of a team that supports makers and helps their creativity shine.
