Description

Compare four Counter Culture DIY resin formulas before choosing a larger size. The Resin Sample Kit lets beginners, working artists, teachers, and small-business makers test differences in viscosity, working style, cure speed, and project fit across coating resin, fast-setting epoxy, and UV resin.

This is a resin-formula sampler, not a single all-purpose recipe. Each included product has its own measuring, mixing, application, curing, and safety directions.

Four Resin Formulas Included

  • Artist Resin: A clear two-part coating resin for artwork, canvas, tumblers, and general craft coatings.
  • Artist Resin Medium Viscosity: A thicker Artist Resin option for makers comparing flow, control, and coating behavior.
  • Fast Set Epoxy: A faster-setting two-part epoxy for projects that benefit from shorter production and recoat timing.
  • UV Resin: A one-part resin for jewelry, doming, keychains, details, and other small projects cured with compatible UV light.

What This Sample Kit Helps You Compare

Question What to observe
How does each resin move? Flow, self-leveling behavior, edge control, and viscosity
How is each formula prepared? Two-part measuring and mixing compared with one-part UV resin
What project fits each resin? Coating, faster production, small details, doming, or light-cured work
How does the finish look? Clarity, gloss, surface level, and appearance over color or inclusions
How does curing differ? Chemical cure for two-part epoxy compared with UV-light curing

Recommended for

  • New resin artists choosing their first full-size formula
  • Experienced makers comparing resin for a new product line
  • Studios testing viscosity and workflow before a larger purchase
  • Teachers and workshop leaders demonstrating resin differences
  • Small businesses evaluating production speed and application style

How to Test the Resin Samples

  1. Choose small, comparable test pieces and label each project with the resin name.
  2. Read the individual product instructions before opening or measuring a formula.
  3. For two-part products, measure and mix exactly as directed. Do not use UV-resin instructions for epoxy.
  4. Apply each sample to a project suited to that formula and note the room conditions, working behavior, and cure result.
  5. Allow each product to reach the cure stage stated in its own instructions before comparing finish and hardness.

Individual Product Information

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a complete project kit?

No. It is a four-formula resin sampler. Mixing cups, stir sticks, gloves, molds, colorants, project blanks, and a UV lamp are not included unless specifically stated elsewhere on the order.

Do all four resins use the same instructions?

No. Artist Resin, medium-viscosity Artist Resin, and Fast Set Epoxy are two-part products. UV Resin is a one-part, light-cured product. Follow each formula's instructions separately.

Which sample should I try for jewelry?

UV Resin is a practical option for thin, light-accessible jewelry and doming. The best formula for a mold or coating depends on the project's depth, size, and working-time needs.

Safety

Wear gloves, work in a well-ventilated area, and avoid skin and eye contact with uncured resin. Use separate clean measuring tools for each product and follow every label and safety document supplied with the samples.
