Step By Step Instructions
-
Start by lightly sanding your cup with sandpaper to scuff it up a bit. Then wash and dry it to remove any debris.
- Combine enough of the Regal Red and Very Cherry glitters to cover your tumbler.
- Then paint your tumbler with the Red Red Shock Paint. While the paint is still wet, sprinkle the combined glitter evenly over the tumbler. Let the paint dry.
- Give the tumbler a layer of Quick Coat to seal in your glitter. While that dries, move on to the next step and get your resin ready.
-
Mix up a batch of Fast Set or Fast Set Turbo according to the package instructions. Measure equal amounts of Parts A and B. Then pour part B into part A and mix well for 3-5 minutes. Be sure to scrape the sides and bottom of your cup as you go, as well as your mixing stick. This ensures that all of your epoxy will be well incorporated.
Pro Tip: Pour your epoxy into another cup, scraping it all out. Then mix for a few more minutes.
- Add some of the Matador glitter to the Fast Set and mix well to combine.
- Apply the combined resin to the tumbler and put it on a tumbler turner to cure, popping any bubbles that form.
- Once the resin is cured, apply a second coat if needed and let that cure.
- Combine the two mica powders to get the perfect caramel color.
- Mix up an small batch of Medium Viscosity Artist Resin and add Nice N' Thick until you get the desired drip consistency. You don't want it too thin or it will run. You also don't want it too thick or it won't move enough to form an natural drip.
- Add your combined mica powders and mix well.
- Turn your tumbler upside down so your drips will work for you. Use a mixing stick to start applying your caramel drip to the bottom of your tumbler.
- Use the stick and your gloved fingers to get the drips where you want them. Then sprinkle on the chopped nuts. Let this layer cure.
- Once the caramel layer has cured, use an exacto knife to clean up the rims of the cup.
- Give the tumbler a final coat of combined Medium Viscosity and allow it to cure fully.
